With an important election coming up Small Axe is scaling up and taking on a Creative Producer to work across a range of campaigns.
Contract: 9 months, full-time (40 hours/week)
Deadline: Sunday 11th February 23.59pm
Start date: ASAP
Location: Small Axe Office, London (we expect new starters to be in the office everyday)
Salary: £36,000-£41,000

With an important election coming up, join our team as a Creative Producer to work on a range of powerful and exciting campaigns.
A Creative Producer helps bring to life creative ideas and content across a variety of platforms, which cuts through the noise and moves people to act on the most important issues of our time.
Collaborating closely with our brilliant team of campaigners and designers, network of creatives, and a broad range of clients and partners; you’ll help the team produce film, photography, graphics, websites, billboards, podcasts and more.
This will be a really exciting time at Small Axe. Every day will be unpredictable, will move fast and be a learning opportunity.
We’re looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of direct or transferable experience under their belt who can get stuck straight in. That could be in a creative or digital agency, in a studio, or in campaigning roles.
Please note that all roles at Small Axe require a DBS check - as much of our campaigning work takes place in schools. Small Axe will arrange DBS checks for new staff once they’re in post. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to email hr@thesmallaxe.org
About the job: What we expect a Creative Producer to do
Manage the end-to-end creative production and deliverable pipeline for campaigns - across digital, print, OOH and more - applying AGILE
Work with campaign leads to put together timelines, budgets and run sheets
Support in sourcing, commissioning, briefing and organising teams for production including internal colleagues and suppliers (eg animators, actors, venues)
Run stand-ups and support capacity management for the creative team
Maintain daily momentum and tracking on multiple projects; keeping clients, collaborators and team to schedule and budget on creative deliverables
Identify scope creep or budget issues and flag promptly to campaign leads
Support cross-disciplinary teams to collaborate and communicate effectively to create high quality and impactful work
Communicate confidently and sensitively with clients and support the team to process and action feedback
Input into creative concepts, creative reviews and project wash-ups
Help plan, execute and produce film & photo shoots - including travel logistics, collaborator liaising, scheduling, on-site production, health and safety requirements
Support in improving production processes to make them more effective or efficient e.g. documentation, asset storage, quality assurance, capacity planning and feedback
Support in expanding our creative freelance network by identifying new collaborators, setting up trials and maintaining our collaborator database

Strong examples of production work to-date
Experience of project management
Experience of end-to-end production process, keeping to budgets and deadlines
Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable communicating across multiple digital platforms and project management tools eg Favro, Slack, Airtable
Desirable skills, knowledge & experience
Experience of working on or volunteering with social or political campaigns
Copywriting experience e.g. scripts, decks, social media graphics and posts, etc
Ability to take a good photo or shoot a video on a smartphone
Understanding of design standards across different platforms
